NEW ERSKINE GARDEN CENTRE AND VANISHING WILLOWS CAFE NOW OPEN!

The veterans’ charity Erskine has officially opened its new garden centre and cafe with the support of Scottish celebrity chef Nick Nairn.

The purpose-built facility, based at the entrance to our large Bishopton estate, replaces our former, smaller centre which was previously based in the heart of our charity’s home.

There is an extensive range of high quality plants, gardening products, outdoor furniture and a large selection of sophisticated gift choices and Erskine products for all our customers to enjoy, as well as ample parking.

And, as well as giving our customers the opportunity to care for their garden, the Erskine Garden Centre is an opportunity to support Scotland’s ex-Service men and women as our new centre will secure and develop employment opportunities for veterans and disabled people.

All money raised through our venture also goes directly toward to care of our veterans at our five care homes across Scotland.

Top celebrity chef and long-time Erskine supporter Nick Nairn has given his backing to our new Erskine Garden Centre by creating a delicious new menu for the Vanishing Willows Cafe.

Vanishing Willows is directly associated to Erskine’s history as the charity’s founder Sir William Macewen requested to use willow trees, spotted in the grounds of the University of Glasgow so he could create artificial limbs for soldiers returning from the First World War.
