The Erskine 2010 appeal aims to raise £6 million to expand our bed provision throughout Scotland and meet the growing need for the very special care that Erskine provides. With waiting lists in every part of the country we opened our new home in Glasgow in autumn 2007 and are doubling the bed space in our Erskine Edinburgh home in 2008.
Sadly, war isn't a thing of the past and as long as there is conflict, there will be a need for Erskine Care.
At Erskine we focus on people's abilities rather than their loss of
abilities. We help our residents maintain dignity, independence and a
quality of life we all expect to have, regardless of age.
By raising much needed funds for Erskine you too can play a valuable part in the continuing care of our residents.
Basic needs
Every £29 we receive is another minute of Erskine's total costs paid for.
A donation of £3,000 could pay the cost of caring for one resident for one whole month.
Alternatively a donation of £4,000 could pay for the catering costs of 40 residents for one month.
Quality of Life
Your donation could also go towards buying the equipment that makes it easier for our residents to perform everyday tasks, things that we often take for granted.
£500 could buy 10 zimmers and help our less able residents to get around.
£1,000 furnishes a bedroom with a bed, bedside cabinet and a wardrobe for one resident.
£3,000 gives our residents freedom to travel around in one of the 13 wheelchairs that this could buy.
£5,000 makes it easier for 6 residents to get in and out of their bed using special hydraulic beds.
£10,000 helps maintain residents' privacy and dignity by installing an assisted bath.
Every donation we receive, regardless of size, helps us reach our goal.
