At Erskine we enjoy strong links with the Armed Forces.
Opened in 2009 within the grounds of Erskine Edinburgh home, this facility is managed entirely by Army personnel who are responsible for the welfare and clinical care of their resident soldiers. It has a dedicated 12 bed wing and is the result of a partnership between the Army, Erskine, Help for Heroes, and The Royal British Legion. It provides accommodation and support for soldiers who have been wounded, injured or are long term sick.
The centre allows soldiers to recover in a residential environment with specialised support provided by military agencies. Soldiers gain from a structured military environment close to existing garrison facilities including rehabilitation, a gym, career management and counselling.
Run by the British Army, the course is designed to help assess the impact which injuries have had on Army regulars. The day to day course content is managed by the Army while we provide the facilities, equipment and services from our Bishopton base.
