RAF veteran Peter Wilson says that his move to Erskine was the best decision he could have made.
Erskine homes are about much more than nursing care. We want life here to be as enjoyable as possible for all of our residents – so we provide a range of activities and services which really can improve your quality of life. At some homes you might be charged for these extras, but at Erskine they’re all free.
In addition to the Erskine care staff, we have specialists in physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, podiatry and dentistry. An enhanced medical service is provided through local GPs.
There’s always something going on in our homes, and plenty for you to get involved in. Quizzes, competition and films are great for days in. Concerts and events put on by visiting groups such as The Royal British Legion, Rotary clubs, Royal visitors, schools and pipe bands, make life extra special for Erskine residents. Regular outings to a variety of destinations also make for a busy social calendar.
We can’t guarantee the Scottish weather but we do look after our grounds. So when the sun shines they provide a great, and accessible, place for residents to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air.
We aim to produce the best home cooking around and use local produce whenever we can. We let our residents decide what should be on the menu. There’s always tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks available – in case you get peckish between meals.
Our free sewing and alteration service means we can make any adjustments or repairs to your favourite item of clothing. We have a hairdressing salon which will help you look your best at all times.
For each resident, Erskine is their home, their community and they are part of the Erskine family.
