March
Erskine Furniture launched the Horizon range of contemporary pine bedroom furniture.
April
Staff and supporters began training for events across the country, including the Great Scottish Walk, the Helensburgh Half Marathon and the Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10k.
May
Erskine Awareness Week recreated a wartime atmosphere with visits to a World War II classroom, a singalong ENSA party, a street party and the launch of Victory Tea Parties up and down the country.
June
Nine of our qualified nurses gained the very first Royal College of Nursing Palliative Care Certificates in Scotland.
July
Volunteers and friends from all over Scotland joined us for our annual Volunteer Reception acknowledging their contribution and recognising milestones in their service. The 2010 Appeal received a major boost with a £100,000 donation from The Weisfeld Foundation.
August
Highly acclaimed Scottish film director Elly Taylor's awardwinning documentary "Through Hell and High Water" was screened for Erskine at the Edinburgh Filmhouse.
September
The Reid Macewen Training and Conference Centre launched a series of training courses to help staff meet the challenges of the modern day business world.
October
We welcomed our new Chairman Jim Scott and launched the third phase of our advertising campaign which is helping attract new supporters, regular donations and wider overall support.
November
Remembrance Week. The Christmas Cracker shopping fair raised over £17,000 and the Tree of Honour raised £10,000. Our President the Right Hon The Lord Provost of Glasgow laid a foundation stone at the Erskine Park Dementia Care Home.
December
Nativity play performances by schoolchildren took place at all of our homes. Roofing work commenced on our new specialist dementia care home.
January
Schools visit programmes allowing schoolchildren the opportunity to meet our residents. Schools competition launched to design our 90th Birthday logo.
