Janet explains how Erskine's supporters have given residents more access to physiotherapy.
Erskine has a dedicated physiotherapy team – based at our homes in Bishopton and Edinburgh – which provides a physiotherapy service to all our homes. Most other homes rely on NHS physiotherapy treatment for their residents – our approach means that none of our veterans miss out on this type of care.
Our physiotherapy department offers appropriate treatments to assist recovery. Working closely with relevant units such as the Southern General Hospital, Erskine has both the expertise and equipment to help these Service men and women if and when they need us.
We are very fortunate that donations have enabled us to buy an excellent range of physiotherapy equipment. This is used in the rehabilitation of residents following any kind of illness, from a broken leg to a chest infection.
