Erskine fundraisers could be knocking on your door soon! Since 1916 the Veterans’ charity has cared for 96,000 ex-service personnel thanks to the ongoing kindness of supporters. During 2019, we are actively looking for new supporters, to help fund the vital sum of around £9million needed to continue providing the high standards of care synonymous with the name Erskine.
During November Erskine fundraisers will be visiting many locations within Argyll and Bute, East Ayrshire, Glasgow, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire, Clackmannanshire, Edinburgh, West Lothian and the Highlands. Local authorities have been advised accordingly.
Our fundraisers, highly trained by Erskine staff and acquainted with our Veterans, are uniquely placed to narrate first-hand the difference even the smallest of donations makes to the charity’s veterans and spouses across our four care homes.
Erskine fundraisers are easily recognisable by their Erskine ID badges and purple branded clothing, and as we move further into winter you may see fundraisers up until 8:30pm, helping to raise awareness of our excellent care and to encourage support of Erskine. We will never ask for a donation by cash, cheque or debit/credit card at the door. The method of donation is by Direct Debit, which we consider to be a safe and convenient method of giving for both parties involved.
