Erskine Could be Knocking on Your Door

Erskine fundraisers could be knocking on your door soon!  Since 1916 the Veterans’ charity has cared for 96,000 ex-service personnel thanks to the ongoing kindness of supporters.  During 2019, we will be actively looking for new supporters, to help fund the vital sum of around £9million needed to continue providing the high standards of care synonymous with the name Erskine. Over the next weeks Erskine fundraisers will be visiting locations within the areas of Aberdeen City Council, Argyll & Bute, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Edinburgh City Council, Fife, Glasgow, The Highlands, Moray and Stirling.

Our door to door fundraisers, highly trained by Erskine staff and acquainted with our Veterans, are uniquely placed to narrate first-hand the difference even the smallest of donations makes to the charity’s veterans’ and spouses across our four care homes.

Easily recognisable by their Erskine ID badges and purple branded clothing, fundraisers work between 3pm and 9pm to help raise awareness of the excellent care and to encourage support of Erskine. We will never ask for a donation by cash, cheque or debit/credit card at the door.  The method of donation is by Direct Debit, which we consider to be a safe and convenient method of giving for both parties involved.

Throughout the year fundraisers will be calling at homes across Scotland. Local authorities have been advised accordingly.

It is very important you have a positive experience with our fundraisers whether you choose to support Erskine or not, your feedback is not only valuable but appreciated. Contact us at or call 0141 814 4657.
