Today our events fundraisers and a dedicated team from SP Energy Networks are at the SEC in Glasgow beginning the three day build of our Ideal Home Show Garden!
Events and Corporate Fundraising Manager at Erskine, Jennifer Campbell said: “It simply would not be possible for us to be involved in the show every year without the incredible help of volunteers from SP Energy Networks who work with us to build the garden, stand and plant market from scratch! Today is when the hard work really begins before the show opens to the public on Friday!”
Craig Arthur, Distribution Director at SP Energy Networks said: “We’re proud to be supporting Erskine with the build of its fundraising stand and Show Garden at the Ideal Homes Show in Glasgow this year. SP Energy Networks’ apprentices have volunteered their time with the charity for the past six years being only too happy to help. We hope that visitors to the show will be encouraged to donate to this great cause in aid of military Veterans in Scotland who have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe.”
This year’s garden – ‘The Stable: A Haven for Heroes’ – is a replica of the 163 year old stable building and piggery on our Veteran’s Village in Bishopton which since January 2018 has housed the Reid Macewen Activity Centre for Veterans.
