I originally got into fundraising through volunteering for a Meningitis Charity after recovering from the disease at 18. I've worked for Erskine since 2014 and moved back to my home town of Buckie on the Moray coast to take up the role. The best thing about the job is that no two days are the same. I get to visit many of our fantastic supporters throughout the North of Scotland. Outside of work, I'm a keen runner and I'm taking part in the London Marathon for the second time in 2018. I'm also a lifelong Aberdeen FC and Scotland fan.

I joined Erskine as a Community Fundraiser in 2018 from Maggie’s Cancer Care. The best thing about working at Erskine is there's so much going on. One day I could be in the office planning exciting fundraising activities, the next I could be out meeting some of our incredible supporters or having a cuppa whilst chatting to our residents. Please get in touch with your fundraising plans, I am here to make it as easy as possible for you to fundraise – and have fun in the process!

I started helping at events for Erskine during my time in the Royal Navy, and have since taken up the position of community fundraiser. What I like best is how well the staff and volunteers come together to provide the best support possible to our residents. I also really enjoy the variety of the role. Outside of work I am a committee member of Petershill Football Club.

I initially I began working at Erskine as a recreation assistant and became Manager of the Recreation Department.
This was very rewarding being involved in the lives of so many of the veterans in our care. Creating activities and going on outings with the residents and ensuring their welfare.
With my knowledge and experience of Erskine I was then offered a position within the Fundraising Department. I was delighted to accept, learning more about fundraising, out and about meeting supporters of Erskine and the many ways the raise funds for our residents.
