Volunteering recruitment process

The volunteering opportunities available change from time to time dependent upon the current needs of the organisation. The current opportunities we have can be found by clicking on the link Volunteers Needed Now on the left of the page. If there are no suitable opportunities for you at present please keep checking back as the situation can change quickly.

Most of the positions available within our homes will require you to be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) in respect of vulnerable adults. If you are not already a member of the scheme this will be explained fully to you at interview.

Our recruitment process will require you to complete an on line application to volunteer (or the paper copy alternative). This form includes space for you to provide details of two referees whom we will contact in writing once we have interviewed you. You will also be required to produce evidence of your ID. We will require at least one item such as passport or driving licence as photo ID together with a household bill or other similar correspondence dated no more than three months ago and showing your current address. If you have not resided there for at least 5 years we will require full previous addresses.

Our fundraising department utilises volunteers in many roles away from our homes and it may be that you would be able to help them at an event anywhere around the country. The details of these opportunities can be found by
