Founded in 1916, Erskine has provided nursing and medical care for former members of our Armed Forces through two world wars and the more recent conflicts and peace keeping initiatives of the twentieth and twenty first centuries. Re-building shattered lives, restoring dignity and providing first class care to ex-Service men and women both young and old have been the cornerstones on which Erskine has built an unrivalled reputation.
However, as an organisation, we can never stand still. Sadly war isn’t a thing of the past and we are already looking after young men and women who have come to Erskine from current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Their needs are constantly changing and the additional beds we are planning for our Edinburgh home will provide much needed facilities for our veterans, whilst safeguarding standards of care for the many residents and staff at our existing homes throughout Scotland.

Last but not least, as a charity, we rely on voluntary donations and we would urge you to make a donation, no matter how small. It will only take a minute, just click on the words ‘Donate on line’ at the top of this page and help us provide the care our ex-Service men and women so richly deserve.
