Armed Forces Day 2023
Armed Forces Day is a special date in the calendar to pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of current and former service personnel. It represents the resilience and strength of our military community. We, at Erskine are committed to ensuring that each Veteran in our care is recognised for their sacrifice with the respect that they so richly deserve, not just on Armed Forces Day but every day.
Whether it’s an entire sponge cake to themselves, a trip to the race track, a bike ride or a simple blow dry to get their perfect hair-do. You can give Veterans and their spouses the chance to enjoy a wide variety of activities and experiences facilitated by our Support Services Team. Your support will provide extra special moments and memories. You will make wishes come true.
This Armed Forces’ Day, we are asking you to help us raise funds and fulfil as many of our Veteran’s wishes as possible. Or maybe you have your own ideas of how you can raise vital funds to support our Veterans?! Whatever you choose to do, myself and the community fundraising team are here to support you!

Jessie used to holiday in a little village called ‘Limekilns’ in Fife with her Mum, Dad and two brothers. The holiday was simple one, but with the fondest memories. Jessie would love to revisit Limekilns to relive her memories.
George served in the Royal Highland Fusiliers, and would love to return to the Malayan Jungle where he was on peacekeeping duties from 1955-1958.
Cathy is a resident in our Edinburgh Home. Her wish was to buy two rose bushes for her to enjoy in the gardens. We popped along to the local garden centre with her to pick her favourite ones!
