Who can attend? Eligibility criteria

  • Any Veteran who has served as a member of one of the HM Armed Forces as a Regular or Reservist or on National Service or were:

    • A Member of the Merchant Marine and were deployed on active service in support of the armed forces
    • A Member of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary
    • A Member of the Home Guard

Where to find us

Housed in the historic former Victoria Hotel on Tytler Street in the centre of Forres, EVAC North aims to serve the Veteran population in Morayshire. Morayshire boasts the highest concentration of Veterans in Scotland, thanks to the presence of nearby military bases such as RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss Barracks. EVAC North is a hub for Veterans to reconnect with their community, learn new skills, and rediscover a sense of purpose.

At EVAC North, there’s always something going on. Whether you're looking to meet fellow Veterans, get active, learn something new, or access practical support. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • A place to connect: Share stories, meet others who truly understand military life, and build lasting friendships. EVAC North offers a welcoming space where Veterans can enjoy good company and a strong sense of camaraderie.
  • Activities with purpose: Get involved in a variety of hands-on activities — from archery and woodwork to art, IT skills, and gym sessions. Whether you want to try something new or rediscover an old interest, there’s something here for everyone.
  • Support when you need it: We’re here to help you navigate life after service. Access tailored support through health and wellbeing workshops, or connect with trusted local organisations offering advice and services specifically for Veterans.

Facilities and opening hours

Opening Hours: 09:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday

Drop in for a couple of hours or stay all day
