5 tips to help you smash your fundraising target

1. Choose a challenge

People are always more generous when they know you’re doing something out of your comfort zone. Remember and pick a challenge that’s right for you. Whether it's a 5k run or walk or If you’re not a keen runner, do a 5k run or walk - but if you’re always stomping the pavements, pick a marathon! 

2. Set up a fundraising page

You can set up a digital sponsorship form that makes it really easy for you to spread the word about your challenge and for your supporters to make a donation. You can use a site like JustGiving to set up your page. The money gets automatically sent to Erskine. It takes all the hassle out of collecting donations so you can focus on your fundraising. 

3. Set yourself a target

Setting a target helps you get even more donations. If you start to near your original target, don’t stop and aim even higher! Let people know how the money you raise can help Erskine's work to support Veterans.

4. Get your fundraising pack 

You may want to think about what fundraising activities you can do to smash your target. Request your free fundraising pack full of ideas and inspiration, as well as a whole host of different resources to help make your event the best it can be.

5. Start spreading the word 

Once you're ready - start sharing your fundraising challenge with friends, family and colleagues. You could send your fundraising page in a personalised message or share it far and wide on social media. Remember to tag Erskine Veterans Charity.
