What is Assemble?

Our Assemble app helps you stay connected with Erskine and access volunteering opportunities.

  • Volunteering opportunities will be posted regularly in Assemble with all activity information in one place.
  • Log your volunteering hours, sign up for shifts, and view upcoming events in your area.
  • Update your contact information, list your skills and interests, and explore learning and development options for volunteers.
  • Quickly find helpful documents, resources and guidance relevant to your role.
  • Stay informed with the latest news and updates from across Erskine.
  • Connect with your fellow volunteers and communicate with your team easily and securely.
  • Assemble is fully compliant with UK data protection laws, and you’re in control of your personal data within the system.

Our guide below covers everything you need to get started with Assemble. You can access Assemble through the mobile app, or on a web browser on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. All you need is an internet connection.

 

Quick guide to Assemble

Downloading the mobile app

The Assemble app makes managing your volunteering simple while you're out and about. Just search for ‘Assemble for Volunteers’ your app store, download the app, log in, and start engaging from your mobile device.

Logging in to Assemble

Go to the app or log in here. Enter your email address and password.

If you applied online

If you applied for a role via our online form, you would have created a password during the application process. Use your email and that password to log in.

If you received a welcome email

If you were added to the system by a team member, you will receive a welcome email inviting you to join Assemble:

  1. Click the link in the welcome email to open the login page.
  2. Enter the email address that the welcome was sent to.
  3. Use the temporary password provided in the email.
  4. Sign in and follow the prompts to create a new password.
  5. Set your consent, privacy, and communication preferences.

First-time login checklist

Once you’ve logged in for the first time:

  • Update your profile information by clicking the profile icon in the top-right corner and select ‘view profile details’. Use the tabs to check and update each section.
  • Add emergency contacts. Go to the ‘contacts’ tab and scroll down to add your emergency contact information.
  • Manage directory visibility by choosing whether you'd like to appear in the volunteer directory and on the ‘near me’ map. You can opt out via the ‘contacts’ tab in your profile.

Troubleshooting

Can’t find your welcome email?

Email community@erskine.org.uk and ask us to resend the welcome email. If it still doesn’t appear, check your spam, junk, or other folders, and add mail@goassemble.com to your safe senders list.

Forgotten your password?

  1. Go to: https://erskine-veterans-charity.goassemble.com/
  2. Click ‘Forgot password?’.
  3. Enter your email and follow the instructions to reset it.

Be sure to check all email folders for the reset message, and act within 60 minutes of receiving it.

Changing your password

  1. Go to: https://erskine-veterans-charity.goassemble.com/
  2. Click your profile icon and choose ‘View profile details’.
  3. Select the ‘Password & Privacy’ tab.
  4. Update your password and click ‘Update Password’.

 

Unsure of your email or it’s incorrect?

Email community@erskine.org.uk and ask our team to check your registered email in the system.

Don’t have an email address?

Each Erskine volunteer has an Assemble account, even without an email address. If you’re unsure how to log in or access updates, speak to our fundraising team for help managing your profile.

Returning to volunteering?

If you've previously left Erskine volunteering and want to return, your Assemble account will be inactive. Talk to our fundraising team about reactivating your access or apply for a new role via our website.
