The much anticipated 2021 Erskine Firewalk has taken place at the Lochter Activity Centre, Oldmeldrum.
The event was a roaring success as 18 participants walked over hot coals, literally, to raise a fantastic £6,500 for Erskine Veterans.
Community Fundraiser Michael Jamieson said “This is a fantastic amount of money to raise, and with this being the very first Firewalk event we’ve staged in aid of Erskine, I am so delighted with how it all went.
I am even more delighted with the positive comments received from several of the participants, expressing their enjoyment and organisation of the event.
As you can imagine, there are a lot of people to acknowledge with such a sizeable event. Our thanks go to CNR International, Enquest Aberdeen and Motive Offshore for their support, as well as Scott Bell of UK Firewalk and all the volunteers who helped on the night. Without them the event wouldn’t have been possible. Thanks also go to the Lochter Activity Centre for their support.
The biggest thank you is for the fantastic 18 brave “soles” who faced the daunting challenge of the hot coals and the members of the public who had total faith in them and who sponsored them so generously to realise such a tremendous total”.
