Governor of Edinburgh Castle Visits Erskine Veterans Village

Erskine Veterans Charity has welcomed The Governor of Edinburgh Castle, Major General Alastair Bruce, to its Renfrewshire based Veterans Village.

General Alastair, whose role, as the King's representative, is to have overall responsibility for the Capital’s Castle, enjoyed a tour of the Village.  Visiting not only The Erskine Home, but the Erskine Activity Centre and the Erskine Supported Accommodation, General Alastair met with many of the Veterans who enjoy the services of Erskine hearing first hand of the innovative work being done by the charity

Erskine Chief Executive, Wing Commander Ian Cumming said : “It has been a pleasure to welcome The Governor to Erskine and to be able to showcase the amazing work that Erskine does to support Veterans of all ages through our care homes, assisted living, activity centre and supported accommodation.  General Alastair was extremely impressed with work we are doing here at Erskine and enjoyed meeting Veterans and staff alike.”
