Terms and Conditions for Erskine Raffle 2024

The Raffle is being promoted by Erskine (registered charity no SC006609), whose registered office address is: 7 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1BA (“the Charity”).  The Charity is registered with and licensed and regulated by Renfrewshire Council Licensing Board. 

The individual of the Charity that is responsible for the operation of the Raffle is the Head of Fundraising and Communications, Erskine, Bishopton, PA7 5PU. 

By entering the Erskine Raffle 2024, participants agree that they have read, fully understand and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.  The Charity reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on the Charity’s website.

Key Terms

  1. To be eligible to purchase a ticket for the Raffle, a person must be 16 years of age or older.  If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16, they will be exempt from the Raffle and will forfeit their prize, if any.  In such an event, the Charity shall decide at its full discretion the appropriate course of action in respect of such forfeited prize;
  2. Participation in the Raffle costs £1 per raffle ticket.  More than one raffle ticket can be purchased at any one time.  The maximum number of raffle tickets purchased per person is £100 (one hundred) per draw;
  3. All raffle ticket sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time;
  4. The result of the Raffle is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the results;
  5. The Raffle draw shall take place on Friday 22nd November 2024;
  6. All entries should be received on or before Friday 15th November 2024 to be entered into the raffle and any late payments for raffle tickets will be gratefully received as a donation to Erskine;
  7. By entering the Raffle, the participant agrees to provide, at a minimum, their name, address and contact information.  Such personal data of the participants will be used by the Charity for the purposes of administration of the raffle draw and on the legal basis of our contract with you under these terms and conditions.  For more information, please refer to the Charity’s privacy policy;
  8. In processing any personal data relating to the entrants we will at all times comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulation of 2018; and

Prizes

  1. All prize winners shall be notified by post, e-mail or telephone no later than 7 business days from the date of the raffle draw;
  2. Subject to obtaining prior consent, a full list of prize winners’ names will be published on the Charity’s website at www.erskine.org.uk within 7 business days of the raffle draw taking place;
  3. Subject to obtaining prior consent, upon accepting the prize(s), the winner(s) may agree to take part in promotional activity and the Charity would request the right to use the winner’s name, photograph and audio/or visual recordings of them in any publicity; and 
  4. All prizes must be claimed no later than 30 days from the date of the raffle draw.  Any unclaimed prize(s) after this date shall be forfeited and donated to the Charity.

 

Liability

The Charity will not be liable for:

  • any entries to the Raffle which are lost, delayed in the post, damaged or illegible to the extent the participant cannot be identified.  Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt;
  • any technical or software failures;
  • any failure or inability to contact any prize winners due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details provided; and
  • any event or matter beyond the Charity’s reasonable control.

The Charity reserves the right (at its absolute discretion) to extend, alter or suspend the raffle draw for any period of time.  The Charity will take reasonable steps to notify participants of this and let them know the proposed rescheduled date. During such period, the Charity shall retain any amounts which were paid prior to such suspension taking effect. 

The Charity reserves the right to cancel the Raffle where the Charity is unable to run the Raffle for technical reasons or in order to comply with the law or due to an event or matter beyond the Charity’s reasonable control.  In this instance, refunds may be offered at the request of the participant and at the discretion of the Charity. Any monies paid for raffle tickets that is not refunded will be treated as a donation to the Charity.

 

Responsible Gambling

The Charity provides the right to self-exclude.  On request, the Charity will put a block on supporter’s records to exclude themselves from the Charity’s raffle mailings.  This block will remain unless the Charity is asked by the individual to remove it.   If an individual would like to be self-excluded, please contact Head of Fundraising and Communications, Erskine, Bishopton, PA7 5PU.

Complaints

Any complaints regarding the Raffle should be made in writing to Head of Fundraising and Communications, Erskine, Bishopton, PA7 5PU or by email to fundraising@erskine.org.uk providing full details of the complaint and supporting documentation.

 

Governing Law

The Laws of Scotland shall govern the interpretation and/or enforcement of these Terms and Conditions and all participants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
