ABF the Soldiers Charity generously donates £150,000 to Erskine

Everyone at Erskine was delighted to receive a wonderful donation recently of £150,000 from ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.  As one of our longest standing supporters, we are delighted that ABF The Soldier’s Charity continue to offer funding which helps to meet the cost of providing high quality Erskine care to Army veterans and their spouses.  Donations such as theirs support enhanced care services including physiotherapy and speech and language therapy which help residents to maintain their fitness, mobility, balance, communication and independence.  Recreational activities both inside and outside our homes are also supported, which offer entertainment, socialising and fun to all.  These, and many more services, which are supported by donations including ABF The Soldiers’ Charity are designed to improve the quality of daily life for Erskine veterans.

Head of External Relations, Sara Bannerman, commented, “Erskine is proud to provide residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for our Army veterans.  We share ABF The Soldiers’ Charity values that, those who have served deserve our respect and our support, for life.

We are indebted to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity for their continued support as this enables us to provide enhanced care services tailored to individual need, choice and preferences.   In addition, communal recreation and one-to-one activities enhance our veterans health and wellbeing with group outings providing a lot of fun social events with like-minded people.”
