Walking for Erskine
Walking for Erskine is a Fundraising Group who has been actively raising funds for our veterans since 2011. Over the years they have tackled the trails, hills and mountains of Scotland and beyond, raising in excess of £4k! With walks including Ben Nevis via The Carn Mor Dearg Arete, the group aim to conquer 50 munros during 2017. As well as the more challenging walks, there are walks suitable for beginners and dedicated kids walks, and twilight walks during the summer months. Preparation is underway for 2018 with lots of walks already planned, including another journey along The West Highland Way. The group is very friendly and are always open to newcomers. If you are interested in joining them, please get in touch with the group via facebook
Case Study: Scott Kennedy John O’Groats to Lands End Challenge
Congratulations to Scott Kennedy from the TA Centre in Dumbarton. He cycled from John O’Groats to Lands End for Erskine in the scorching heat in June. He’s raised £570 and carried an engagement ring the whole way so he could propose to his girlfriend Emma at the finishing line.
She said “Yes!”. Well done and CONGRATULATIONS to Scott and Emma!
