Do Something Extraordinary for Veterans in the Northeast – Final Places Available for Aberdeen Firewalk
Erskine Veterans Charity is urging supporters across the Northeast to take on an unforgettable challenge for those who have served, as just three charity places remain for the Aberdeen Firewalk on Saturday 28th February 2026.
The Aberdeen Firewalk is a unique and unforgettable challenge for anyone looking to make a real difference. The event will see participants walk barefoot across hot embers, sizzling at 1,236F, in a powerful test of courage and determination. But don’t worry, full training is given to intrepid Firewalkers before they take their first hot steps!

All funds raised through Erskine’s charity places will support Veterans attending Erskine Veterans Activity Centre (EVAC) North in Forres. The Centre offers a welcoming space for Veterans to improve wellbeing, build confidence and reduce isolation through a range of supportive activities and services, including counselling, art, massage therapy, IT, a gym, and financial advice. This month marks the first anniversary of EVAC North, celebrating a year of positive change for over 600 Veterans across the region.
Michael Parkes, Fundraising and Development Manager (North) at Erskine, said: “The Aberdeen Firewalk is an inspirational and unique way to support Veterans in the Northeast. As we celebrate the first anniversary of EVAC North, the funds raised will help us continue providing a lifeline, through our activities and services. With only three charity places left, we would encourage any brave “soles” considering the challenge to act quickly.”
All of Erskine’s Aberdeen Firewalk participants will receive fundraising guidance, a t-shirt, and ongoing support.
